Ninja Baby Strikes Again!

Early on in the pregnancy our tiny ninja decided to "hide" from us by giving us several negative tests for a couple weeks. A week after we sort of gave up, then the little baby decided to let us know it was in there. After that we started calling it the ninja baby.

Today our little ninja decided to play a trick on us again at our 12 week appointment. My doctor tried for a few minutes to pick up the heartbeat on a the fetal doppler and all we could only hear static. She said OK, we aren't getting anywhere with this, we have to go do a scan. So for the 5 minutes until she picked up the ninja baby on the ultrasound, mom and dad were pretty scared.

Everything ended up fine and the doc says our mini ninja looks great and has a perfect heartbeat. We lucked out because our doctor decided to give us a few new ultrasound pictures.

So we are now a little spoiled with pictures of our little ninja. We are going to have another ultrasound done in about 2 weeks. It is going to be 3D, we are really excited! After that it will probably be a while until we get to actually see our baby again.

In other ninja news... I have only been craving a couple of things; potatoes and frozen drinks. Last night while attempting to make a fro-yo peanut butter milkshake our blender totally died. I was very sad. So for Valentine's Day, the best husband ever took me out to dinner tonight and got me ....
